Job Summary:
Operating Room Cardiothoracic, Peripheral Vascular, and Transplant (Heart and Lung) Specialist position located in Iowa City, Iowa. The role involves performing scrubbing duties for cardiac surgeries, including team rotations for on-call shifts and weekend coverage. This position starts on 09/21/2026 and requires a minimum of two years of strong cardiovascular operating room experience with proficient scrubbing skills for complex cardiac cases.

• Required Qualifications: Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and two years of cardiovascular operating room experience. Must have large-level 1 or 2 trauma experience.
• Responsibilities:
  • Scrub for cardiothoracic, peripheral vascular, and transplant surgeries, including heart and lung procedures.
  • Participate in a four-week team rotation for on-call coverage, including one weekend (Saturday or Sunday) 24-hour call period.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in OR scrub skills specific to cardiac cases, with documentation of skills included in the submittal packet.
  • Adhere to all SOPs and safety protocols relevant to cardiac surgical procedures.
