Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This role involves providing perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical unit with a variety of specialties including gynecology, urology, robotics, orthopedics, and general surgeries. The RN will assist with procedures, support a team-oriented environment, and participate in the units call schedule.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, prior OR experience, ability to take call, and flexibility to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with gynecology, urology, general, robotics, and orthopedic procedures.
- Additional Information:
- Beds: 215
- Unit Information: 7 Operating Room suites, 30 staff members including Certified Surgical Technologists, RNs, aides, and leadership
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Equipment: Variety based on specialty
- EMR: Meditech
- Typical procedures include gynecologic, urologic, general, cystoscopy, breast, knee scopes, and total joint surgeries
- Candidate personality: Team player and adaptable
- Traveler shall be scheduled per facility policy, with rotation involving every other weekend and holiday shifts.
