Description

Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse position is based in a community hospital in Yakima, Washington. The role involves providing specialized critical care to a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients with respiratory distress, post-cardiac catheterization, vascular, abdominal, and gastrointestinal cases, among others, utilizing advanced clinical skills and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts from 07/27/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS and BLS certifications, experience with above-below patient types, chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, monitoring femoral arterial sheaths, preferred - Art line, Impella and/or IABP experience, minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, located in Washington state, and at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Patient Types: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Respiratory distress, Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), Atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response (A-fib RVR), Diabetes Mellitus (DM), blood product administration, BiPAP, Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) overflow, post-cardiac catheterization patients (with TR bands and femoral approach), vascular, abdominal, and gastrointestinal surgical patients, drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin
  • Electronic Medical Record: EPIC
  • Floating: Telemetry, Tele, Telemetry 2 East Warehouse (2EW), Medical-Surgical, Neurology-Medical
  • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
  • On Call: No
  • Scrub Color: Any color, professional attire
