Job Summary:
The healthcare facility is seeking a Dialysis Unit Nurse in Ithaca, New York. This position involves providing specialized care for inpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients. The role requires supporting both acute hemodialysis and intensive care unit treatments, with coverage across three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other Saturday.
Job Details:
- Location: Ithaca, NY
- Shift Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified in relevant dialysis and nursing certifications; appropriate education and degree requirements; valid licensing for New York; 0 years of experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in dialysis care and ICU nursing preferred
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The position involves inpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis care, supporting a 1:2 ratio for acute HD treatments and 1:1 for ICU treatments. The nurse maintains primary RN care during treatments and is responsible for adhering to facility-specific protocols and procedures.
