Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in oncology, located in Madison, Wisconsin. The position involves providing comprehensive care support for breast cancer patients within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include telephone triage and in-clinic support at dual sites, focusing on patient education, care coordination, and symptom management, primarily via phone.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 am 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license, Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) chemo certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, at least 0 years of experience, and clinical experience related to oncology or similar fields.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telephone triage and outpatient oncology support, familiarity with Epic charting system, and prior involvement in breast cancer patient care.
- Additional Information: The role entails 90% phone triage and 10% in-clinic assistance supporting providers. The position involves coordinating patient care activities such as appointment scheduling, patient education, and symptom management. Candidate must meet strict pass/fail testing criteria including telemetry exams, with certifications submitted if exams are not passed after attempts. The assignment is at a state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility slated to open in fall 2024, offering modern healthcare amenities. Travelers are required to float as needed and must be located more than 50 miles from the facility.
