Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy emergency department with a capacity of 101 beds. The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and prior experience in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume emergency setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting, certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days of hire), prior experience in a trauma or high-volume emergency environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a hospital with high patient volume, HCA experience preferred, strong teamwork and coaching abilities, flexibility to work across all ED sections.
- Additional Information: Orientation includes a 4-hour hospital overview followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor. The position requires adherence to unit-specific policies and uniform code (navy scrubs). Flexibility to float within all sections of the ED is required, but no outside facility floating is expected. Candidates must demonstrate respectful patient interactions and updated boards throughout visits.
