Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing acute care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, working with both adult and pediatric patient populations. The role requires clinical expertise in emergency medicine and the ability to handle a wide range of urgent clinical presentations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license, a minimum of two (2) years of emergency department experience within the last three years, BLS, PALS, ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, TNCC certification, Epic charting system experience, and valid certifications as listed above.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, trauma center experience (Level I or II), community hospital experience, and patient ratio experience.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, RN license.
- Additional Information: Candidates must pass a telemetry test prior to start with two attempts allowed. The test evaluates identification of lethal rhythms and understanding of third-degree heart blocks. The position entails working in a Level IV Trauma Center designated emergency department serving a daily census of approximately 130 patients across 20 exam rooms and vertical care spaces. Floating may be required as needed.
- Location: 4602 Eastpark Blvd, Madison, WI 53718. Free parking is available onsite. The department functions as a critical entry point to the health system, providing comprehensive emergency care in a high-volume, trauma designated, Pediatric Ready Center.
