Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse is needed at a healthcare facility in Des Moines, Iowa. This position involves providing specialized care for high-risk obstetric patients, including antepartum, cesarean sections, and vaginal deliveries. The role offers the opportunity to work across multiple campuses, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of recent/current Labor and Delivery, cesarean section, and surgical technician experience in a hospital setting; Level I trauma experience; NBSTSA certification or equivalent; BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ARC/Red Cross; valid drivers license; work history demonstrating experience in the specialized field; skills specific to Labor and Delivery nursing; no first-time travelers; ability to work holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed; orientation date on August 3, 2026
- Preferred Qualifications: Professional reference or reference check from a supervisor or manager within the past 24 months
- Additional Information: Travelers will be required to float across all campuses within the organization. The assignment starts on August 3, 2026, and requires participation in holiday shifts and weekend coverage every third weekend.
