Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Nurse Manager for Labor & Delivery stationed in Los Angeles. This leadership role involves supervising clinical staff, coordinating patient care activities, and ensuring high standards of safety and satisfaction for patients and families. The Nurse Manager will collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve quality outcomes and foster a patient-centered environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36.0 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education and related experience, with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
- Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in nursing or related field, five years' clinical experience in labor and delivery, supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills, and clinical specialty or nursing administration certification.
- Essential Functions: Provides unit-based leadership in clinical services, supervises nursing staff, facilitates patient care planning, and monitors quality and safety standards. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. Ensures compliance with safety goals and hospital policies. Conducts performance evaluations, manages staffing based on patient acuity, and addresses operational issues as needed.
