Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Nurse Manager specializing in Labor and Delivery at a healthcare facility in Los Angeles. This leadership role involves supervising nursing and ancillary staff within the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, fostering a patient and family-centered environment, and coordinating clinical services. The position requires collaboration with other healthcare professionals to maintain safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and related experience; Nurse Manager-Labor & Delivery specialty certification or experience preferred; current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, required; five years' technical experience, preferred; supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills, required
• Required Licenses/Certifications: RN licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, from an approved vendor
• Essential Functions: Provides unit-based clinical leadership and supervises staff activities; collaborates with healthcare team members and patients for optimal care planning; monitors staffing and patient acuity to ensure appropriate coverage; promotes a safe, culturally sensitive environment; addresses patient care concerns; participates in quality improvement initiatives and unit safety protocols; maintains compliance with safety standards and hospital policies; facilitates staff development and performance evaluations; manages operational needs including equipment maintenance and unit cleanliness; and reports unit activities and issues to facility administration
