Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse in ROCKFORD, IL. This role involves providing specialized cardiac care within the Cath Lab department, supporting procedures such as coronary angiography, PCI, electrophysiology studies, and structural heart procedures. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality patient care and procedure support.

Job Details:

Schedule: Monday to Friday, rotating weekday and weekend call shifts, 10-hour shifts with one rotating day off each week, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that application process has been initiated; BLS Certification; ACLS Certification; NIHSS Certification; minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required; STEMI experience required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IR and Neuro IR procedures.
EMR/Equipment: Epic, Change Healthcare (formerly McKesson), LifePak 20.
Department: Cardiac Cath RN suites/labs: 5; average cases per day: Coronary (5), Neuro (1), Electrophysiology (3), Interventional Radiology (16).
Responsibilities include supporting procedures such as angiography, device implants, thromboembolic interventions, and recovery.
Orientation: Individualized, typically 1-2 days per procedural area, based on previous experience.
Float: Float rotation may be required within the cath lab department only.
Additional information: Orientation is individualized; unit-specific; schedule includes rotating weekend and weekday call coverage; holiday call is required if during contract period.
