Job Summary
Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) Springfield, MO. The facility is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented RN to join its acute adult psychiatric unit. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care, evaluate patient needs, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during a 13-week assignment starting on August 3, 2026.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days, 0700-1900, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license (eligible for licensure in Missouri or licensed in Missouri), BLS certification from American Heart Association, 1 year of inpatient Psychiatric/Behavioral Health experience (adults only), and educational credentials as required
• Preferred Qualifications: Crisis training of some type
• Float: Float rotation may be required; candidate may be asked to work as a tech or sitter if needed
• Performs direct patient care activities for adult acute psychiatric patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitors and coordinates patient care with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and safety
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with hospital standards
• Utilizes the nursing process to address patient needs following the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
