Emergency Room Nurse in Simi Valley, California. This role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the emergency department, adhering to established standards of care and the nursing process. The position requires supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines, and utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment to promote patient safety and well-being.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; acute care facility experience preferred; valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required; Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Essential Functions: Collects relevant patient health data; analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues; develops and implements care plans; collaborates with healthcare team members; provides patient and family education; participates in discharge planning; delegates and coordinates duties of healthcare team members; performs other related duties.
