Description

Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Anderson, South Carolina. This role involves delivering quality patient care by following established nursing care plans, supervising ancillary nursing personnel, and supporting patient recovery and safety. The RN will play a key role in assessing patients, planning and implementing care, and supporting discharge planning in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to first shift, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to first shift, minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience (highly desired), at least one (1) prior assignment with the current agency, experience in Progressive Care Units, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Progressive Care Unit setting.
  • Additional Information: Embraces the organizations core values including superior quality, safety, teamwork, and resourcefulness. Follows all policies related to patient and staff safety, including safe patient handling, infectious diseases protocols, and slips/trips/falls prevention. Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, and initiates discharge and patient teaching from the day of admission. Responsible for accurate documentation, supervision of ancillary staff, and participation in team building activities. May assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation and actively pursues professional growth through ongoing education and self-study.
