Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy trauma and stroke center. The role requires flexible and team-oriented healthcare professionals capable of working in a fast-paced environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The assignment begins on 07/13/2026, with a schedule of 12-hour night shifts and a minimum of 48 hours per week.

Job Details:

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications: 2 years experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in Emergency Room (ER) setting, current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification, current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification before start date, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification within 90 days of hire, team-oriented mindset, and ability to coach and give feedback in real time.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center, high-volume emergency department experience, familiarity with Cerner documentation system, and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.
Unit Specific: Cardiac monitoring, triage, internal processing, and use of Baxter pumps and GE monitors. Knowledge of hospital policies including attendance and unit-specific guidelines is required.
Float Policy: No floating outside of the ED, but flexibility to float within all sections of the ED is required.
