Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Tallahassee, Florida. This position involves working in a busy surgical environment requiring strong circulating skills across multiple specialties. Candidates must be adaptable to float to various specialty pods, with a focus on trauma and robotic cases. The role includes on-call duties, weekend, and holiday requirements, with a focus on safety and efficient patient care.

Job Details:

Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications: Valid healthcare professional license in Florida or a compact license, BLS certification; ACLS and CNOR certifications are preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of OR experience and at least 2 prior travel assignments. Experience must include orthopedics, neuro, trauma, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, urology, and robotics; heavy robotic and trauma experience are nonnegotiable.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in open heart surgeries and NCOR certification preferred.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: Candidates will undergo electronic fetal heart monitoring (EFM) training during orientation, with testing out of the training as part of the process. The facility is a trauma level 2 center with designated stroke and chest pain certification, comprising 772 beds with multiple OR pods and specialties, including neuro, ENT, OMFS, eyes, dental, plastics, orthopedics, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, GYN, and urology.
