Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse opportunity in Orange, California. This position involves providing specialized care for obstetric patients in a high-acuity, Magnet-designated acute care hospital. The role requires experienced professionals capable of circulating during labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures, ensuring patient safety and clinical excellence.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 3x12-shift hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, valid California license in hand, CPR (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate certification; experience circulating for labor and delivery procedures; able to assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk obstetric situations
- Preferred Qualifications: AWHONN Advanced certification, prior experience in large hospital settings, and familiarity with Epic charting system
- Additional Information: Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required; local radius under 50 miles considered for lower pay rate; must submit two references covering one year within the last three years; compliance with license and background check policies required; candidates must respond to questions about prior work at the healthcare provider and recent fire safety certification within 30 days
