Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Madison, WI. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients in a fast-paced, academic medical setting. The traveler will be responsible for managing complex clinical situations, including vent and transplant cases, within a Level I Trauma Center environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.
- Required Qualifications: WI RN or compact RN license, 2 years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty, including vent and transplant experience. BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications. Certifications in ACLS, BLS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry and oncology experience preferred. Experience with adult patient populations, including post-transplant and ventilated patients.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The candidate must pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. The unit is a 29-bed adult unit providing comprehensive care, including specialty populations such as patients with Cystic Fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension. The position involves working in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support.
