Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry specialty position located in Massena, New York. The role involves providing care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule out. The position requires collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams and managing various clinical procedures within a busy medical-surgical unit.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS and ACLS; proficiency in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing including interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams; experience with peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, invasive and non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE. New York state license in hand required; must have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, community hospital experience, and familiarity with total joint replacement, wound care/wound vac, and blood product administration.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit supports adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of 20. Patient diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, and chest pain. The unit utilizes Cerner Bridge and maintains interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments.
