Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse, Indianapolis, Indiana. This position involves providing specialized care in a Level IV womens and infants hospital, including managing active labor, high-risk pregnancies, and delivery processes. The role emphasizes adherence to AWHONN guidelines, with responsibilities as charge nurse in both labor and high-risk units, as well as providing baby nursing support for deliveries.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend, with holiday rotation. Orientations are conducted on two shifts.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in NRP (Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and experience with magnesium, insulin drips, and advanced external fetal monitoring. Must be familiar with AWHONN guidelines. No minimum years of experience specified.
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Must be committed to working with no tolerance for calling in. Position includes responsibilities as charge nurse in both Labor & Delivery and high-risk units, as well as providing baby nursing for deliveries.
