Labor & Delivery Nurse, L&D, located in Indianapolis, IN. Job Details

• Position: Level IV trained Labor & Delivery Nurse
• Location: Indianapolis, IN
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, advanced NRP certification, familiarity with Magnesium, insulin drips, and advanced external fetal monitoring, drivers license or state ID, professional references, and profile verification from relevant certifying organizations.
• Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with AWHONN guidelines, experience float to Carmel L&D if needed.
• Responsibilities: Manage labor and delivery patients, adhere to AWHONN guidelines, operate as charge nurse in both L&D and high-risk units, serve as baby nurse for deliveries, and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Additional Information: Shift involves working per the unit's active labor and early/latent labor guidelines, with a commitment to work scheduled days. Orientation includes two shifts.
