Job Summary
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to provide care for neuro-critical and general medical patients in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center environment. Based in RENO, NV, the nurse will deliver comprehensive patient care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations in a multidisciplinary setting, utilizing advanced clinical skills and adhering to established standards of practice. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-acuity unit dedicated to clinical excellence and patient safety.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, scheduled to vary based on department needs, including weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
- Required Qualifications: NV Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required; minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience, specifically caring for Neuro Trauma and post Neuro-surgery patients. Experience caring for post Alteplase and/or post Thrombectomy patients is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for post neurosurgical patients with external ventricular drains is desirable.
- Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level. Might be required to work major holidays and an additional shift during the schedule period. The facility is extremely busy, serving a 500-mile radius, with a volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center.
