Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery (L&D) at a healthcare facility in Greenfield, MA. This position involves providing care to labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum patients. The RN will support patients undergoing cesarean sections and deliver comprehensive maternal and infant care in a busy obstetrics unit. The role requires a compassionate approach to patient care and collaboration with the OB team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), basic fetal monitoring, and American Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum patients; experience with cesarean sections; ability to float to medical-surgical, emergency department, intensive care, or mental health units (does not perform nursing assignments while floating).
- Additional Information: The unit services approximately 400 deliveries annually with core staffing of 4 registered nurses per shift. The team supports labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum patients, with surgical support for cesarean sections and dedicated staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
