Description

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nursing position in Denver, Colorado. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in accordance with accepted practice standards. The position requires independent nursing functions, patient education, treatment planning, and documentation, with the potential for floating to other departments within scope of competency when needed.

Job Details:

Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited School of Nursing; current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association; ability to perform essential nursing duties with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree of Nursing; certifications appropriate for neonatal intensive care, such as neonatal-specific certifications, are preferred.
Skills: Nursing care, health assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, documentation, patient referral, resource utilization, previous experience as a registered nurse.
Additional Information: May be required to float to other departments based on business needs; may be placed on call during scheduled shift.
