Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Charleston, South Carolina. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care within the operating room environment, focusing on cardiac, open heart, vascular, and endovascular procedures. The role requires the application of professional nursing standards to ensure safe, effective patient care before, during, and after surgeries, with an emphasis on collaborative teamwork and patient advocacy.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license in South Carolina or a recognized NCSBN multi-state license, BSN preferred or required within five years of hire or transfer date, minimum of 3 years of experience in Operating Room Nursing, and ability to scrub and circulate. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac, open heart, vascular, or endovascular procedures.
• Additional Information: Position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting/moving patients up to 50 lbs. Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and potential infectious materials is possible. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to react calmly in emergency situations. The role may require working in stressful conditions, with irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, based on departmental needs.
