Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-quality care within a medical-surgical unit, with responsibilities including managing neuro and surgical patients. The role requires flexibility to float within the discipline across local campuses and adherence to facility-specific policies. The shift is scheduled for nights, with a minimum weekly commitment of 36 hours starting on 08/03/2026.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
- Schedule: Night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of prior Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) experience; previous travel contract preferred; comfortable with neuro and surgical patients; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; NIHSS certification; valid state license in Wisconsin; work history/resume; skills checklist completed within 1 year; license verification; copy of certifications; one supervisory reference at time of submission; drivers license required.
- Additional Information: Candidate must have taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, unless in Madison where a local address with a 10% rate reduction is accepted. Call back pay and on-call multipliers apply as specified; some clinical responsibilities include neuro patient care and surgical patient management. The orientation schedule spans multiple dates, with specific days set for onboarding.
