Description
Job Summary:
The operating room technician (ORT) position is located in Casper, Wyoming. This role involves selecting and handling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures. The technician will scrub in and assist with surgeries, ensuring the proper preparation, handling, and passing of instruments and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, current basic life support (BLS) certification, and either a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or five years of verified operating room experience. Must be registered with the relevant State Regulatory Agency, with no minimum years of experience explicitly required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a certified school of surgical technology or additional related education and experience.
- Additional Information: The position requires manual dexterity, the ability to respond quickly in emergent situations, and adherence to safety and infection control procedures. The role involves assisting with surgical team operations, maintaining sterile environments, and participating in emergency call rotations.
