Description

Job Summary:
Pediatric Psychology is seeking a qualified Clinical Nurse for a position in New York. The role involves providing compassionate, patient-centered care to pediatric patients in a psychiatric setting, supporting families, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to specialized mental health care for children and adolescents.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 11.5-hour shifts, 34.5 hours minimum per week, starting on 08/03/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred), Associate degree in Nursing with relevant experience or active enrollment in a BSN program, Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or Pediatric Medical Crisis Stabilization (PMCS), State-specific license requirements, and at least 2 years of general RN experience, with a minimum of 2 years in geriatric psychiatric care.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience highly preferred.
  • Additional Information: The assignment involves pediatric psychiatric patient care in a hospital setting, with a focus on relationship-centered care practices, patient safety, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The clinician will perform charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinate resource utilization, and support a therapeutic environment for young patients and their families. Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and participate in ongoing professional development.
