Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Los Angeles, California. This assignment offers an opportunity to provide specialized nursing care in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma setting. The role involves managing labor and delivery processes, emergent and scheduled Cesarean sections, maternal and fetal monitoring, post-operative recovery, breastfeeding support, and post-delivery patient care.
Job Details:
- Location: Los Angeles, CA
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Assignment Type: Weekly assignment
- Shift: 12-Hour Shifts (Rotating Days and Nights)
- Schedule: 36 Hours per Week
- Start Date: 07/13/2026
- Duration: 8 Weeks
- Emergencies & Responsibilities: Caring for patients during labor, delivery, managing emergent C-sections, maternal-fetal assessments, assisting with complicated deliveries, post-operative recovery, breastfeeding support, and post-delivery care.
- Certifications & Requirements:
- Active California RN License
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification
- MAB or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification
- LA City Fire & Life Safety Card (must be LA City)
- LA County Employee Health Clearance prior to start date
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- **Experience in a Level I Trauma Institution in a metropolitan area with a diverse patient population
- Circulating nurse experience for Cesarean sections
- Advanced fetal monitoring experience
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner
- Type of Travel Required: No
