Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Red Bluff, California. This position involves working in a fast-paced emergency department with a diverse patient population. The role requires experienced nurses to provide high-quality patient care across a variety of medical conditions, including stroke, abdominal pain, orthopedic injuries, and psychiatric cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and COVID-19 vaccination certification.
• Education & Experience: No minimum experience required, though 3-5 years of relevant specialty experience is preferred.
• Facility Information: Emergency Department with 15 beds and a 6-bed fast track operational from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
• Clinical Environment: Utilizes Cerner (First Net) electronic medical record system.
• Staffing & Support: Charge nurse available, nurse aides on staff, and a 24/7 pharmacy.
• Staffing Ratios & Patient Care: Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 4, dependent on patient acuity.
• Additional Details: The unit manages a high volume of approximately 100 patient visits daily and about 500-600 pediatric cases per month. Care involves stroke, abdominal pain, orthopedic injuries, and psychiatric patients.
• Special Requirements: Candidates must have 3-5 years experience in emergency nursing or a relevant specialty, with the ability to float within the unit if necessary.
• Other: No float rotation, unit-specific orientation of 2-3 days, and shifts scheduled 30-45 days in advance.
