Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This healthcare organization is seeking an experienced RN to provide general medical and patient care on a Med Surg floor. The position includes remote telemonitoring and post-operative patient care responsibilities, with a focus on delivering quality patient care in a busy hospital setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 1-2+ years of Medical Surgical experience, at least 1 year of recent travel nursing experience, Telemetry experience, BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, and Cerner electronic medical record experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for general medical administration of patients, remote telemonitoring, and post-operative patient care with a patient ratio of 1:6, with a surge plan of 1:7 maximum. The unit handles general Med Surg, post-op surgical, bariatrics, and oncology patients, with a size of 352 beds and 21 beds on the Med Surg unit. The typical patient volume is approximately 585 patients per month. This vacancy is due to a previously vacant position, and scheduling requests for 48-hour guarantee are acceptable if indicated during submission.
