Job Summary:
The operating room nurse position is located in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical environment. The nurse will be accountable for delivering high-quality patient care during surgical procedures, adhering to organizational policies and professional standards of nursing practice. The position requires collaboration with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. BLS certification is required. Experience in the operating room or perioperative environment for at least 1 year within the past 12 months.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and professional certification in perioperative nursing are preferred. Additional related education and/or experience are advantageous.
- Additional Information: The role involves direct patient care in the operating room, including assessing patient needs, preparing patients for surgery, supporting intraoperative activities, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The nurse will work in a dynamic environment requiring effective communication and teamwork to support optimal patient outcomes.
