Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing high-risk obstetrical care within a womens hospital setting, supporting a busy labor and delivery unit with a focus on high-acuity patient management. The shift is scheduled for nights, running from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 2 years of experience in high-risk labor and delivery care, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and a high-risk obstetrical bedside training certification. Experience with GE fetal monitors and documentation in Meditech or CPNS systems is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with c/section recovery, high acuity patient care, and advanced obstetric certifications such as AWHONN fetal monitoring.
  • Unit Details: High-risk obstetrical unit with 24 beds, patient ratios approximately 2:1 and 3:1 depending on acuity, performing vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C procedures, and post-delivery recovery.
  • Additional Information: Must be able to circulate in c/section procedures, recover high acuity patients, and meet the units dress code policies. Ability to float to antepartum units as needed.
  • Certifications: RN license, high-risk obstetric training, and professional certifications required for consideration.
