Job Summary:
The facility is seeking an experienced registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry in YAKIMA, Washington. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care for adult patients, including post-surgical, stroke, oncology, respiratory, and orthopedic cases. The position requires clinical skills in managing chest tubes, tracheostomies, PICC/midlines/central lines, dressings, wound vacs, ostomies, and telemetry monitoring, with potential opportunities to care for pediatric or psychiatric patients for those experienced in such areas.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure and certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); must pass a telehealth exam during compliance. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is preferred. At least 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical with Telemetry setting involving chest tubes, trachs, PICC/midlines/central lines, Foley catheters, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, ostomies, and telemetry monitoring. Basic proficiency with Epic EMR.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric and psychiatric patients is preferred but not required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required across various units including 2 East/West, 3 East/West, 5th floor, and Emergency Room for Medical Surgical holds.
• Additional Information: This is a 226-bed community hospital offering a non-profit environment. The position may involve acting as Care Nurse Assistant (CNA) in rare cases and handling total care assignments. Scrub color is flexible as long as it is a solid color without graphics or designs. The start date for this assignment is August 10, 2026.
