Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-quality post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The nurse will contribute clinical expertise as part of the interdisciplinary team and may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses to support patient needs.
Job Details
- Shift Time: Days
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin state license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) certifications, 2 years of previous experience, at least 1 travel contract completed preferred, Epic experience required, work history/resume required, skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission, license verification, copy of required certifications, references including one supervisory reference at time of submission, drivers license required, profile should include a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility (unless local in Madison with a 10% rate reduction)
- Additional Information: Candidates must have worked in patient care roles other than open heart procedures involving pressors, cardiac drips, insulin, or inotropes. The orientation schedule begins on 08/17/2026, with an initial orientation on 08/03/2026.
- Submission requirements include proof of required qualifications, work history, references, and certifications. The position requires working 1-2 of 3 major summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). Candidates must have a drivers license and must not have been an employee of the healthcare provider within the last 12 months.
