Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position available in Edmonds, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with pregnancies of 15 weeks gestational age or greater on the labor and delivery unit. The position requires managing a variety of obstetric procedures and patient care responsibilities in a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST), with at least 3 of those years in obstetrics. Candidates must have BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and CST certification. All previous permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, charge nursing experience, and community hospital or labor and delivery specialty are preferred.
• Additional Information: The role involves assisting with cesarean sections (singleton/twins), tubal ligation, hysterectomy, cystoscopy, Dilation & Curettage (D&C), vaginal laceration repair, hemorrhage management, and attendance at vaginal deliveries. Use of special equipment including ESU/cautery with smoke evacuation, Neptune, and suction D&C machine is required. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
• References: Two references covering the past year (or six months for CNAs) are required prior to start.
