Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse position in Denver area, Colorado. This role involves providing acute care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment, with emphasis on versatility and the ability to float within Zone 3 facilities. The position requires working night shifts, and candidates will support various ERs within the zone, responding to dynamic clinical needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Certifications required: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, PALS (American Heart Association), TNCC.
- Experience: At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
- Floating: Travelers are expected to float throughout Zone 3, covering facilities within approximately a 60-mile radius around Denver, Colorado.
- Certification and license: Candidates must hold an active license to submit.
- Clinical responsibilities: Manage common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, diabetes mellitus, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, hypertension.
- Additional details: Expect coordination with ER physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, and support staff. The role may involve performing or troubleshooting use of advanced airway equipment, interpreting tele monitors, drawing labs, and assisting in emergency procedures.
- Orientation: 2-3 days, with the requirement that clinicians are in state for the week of orientation.
- Shift and scheduling: Certified as per leadership schedule for 6 weeks at a time, with flexibility needed for filling operational gaps.
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs.
- Trauma level: Varies; primarily Level 3 trauma centers, with some facilities designated as STEMI and stroke receiving centers.
- Facility details: Work at facilities within a 10-40 mile radius of Denver, Colorado, including locations in Lakewood, Longmont, and Westminster.
- Start date: 08/03/2026.
