Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology on a healthcare unit in North Carolina. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating patient care utilizing the nursing process, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients with complex oncological needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours daily, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC); at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Additional Information: The nurse must have chemotherapy immunotherapy certification prior to start. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, point of care testing, patient education, discharge planning, and participation in quality improvement activities. The role emphasizes safety management, cultural sensitivity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to healthcare standards.
