Job Summary:

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale; no prior experience required.
• Procedures performed on unit: Various neuro-focused patient procedures as per unit protocols.
• Unit specifics:
  • Number of beds: 18 (currently at 18, with renovations planned to expand to 30).
  • Staffing: Team nursing approach with technicians and a dedicated charge nurse.
  • Equipment: Standard medical equipment for neurology and medical surgical care.
  • Documentation system: Meditech.
  • Staffing policy: Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotation basis, per hospital policy.
  • Floating: May be required to float to similar units as patient care needs dictate.
• Patient Experience: Hourly safety rounds and bedside shift reports are required.
• Certifications: BLS & NIH Stroke Scale (training available if needed).
• Dress Code: Navy color uniform.
