Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position is located in a healthcare facility in Hilo, Hawaii. This role involves providing primary nursing care to patients in a 15-bed unit that includes a 3-step-down intensive care unit and telemetry services. The position requires adaptability to different hospital units, including medical, surgical, pediatric, intensive care, and emergency departments during float shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours; shift rotates, including 12-hour shifts.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Hawaii nursing license; at least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year; experience in Progressive Care and telemetry preferred; current PALS certification preferred; NIHSS certification preferred; ACLS preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Progressive Care and telemetry experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to all acute in-house units, including medical, surgical, pediatric, ICU, and emergency departments.
• Additional Information: Candidate must arrive the Thursday prior to the start date to attend the employee health appointment on Friday. Please do not accept the start date if unable to be present on time.
