Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse - LA JUNTA, Colorado. This position involves providing direct patient care in a busy emergency department setting. The role requires managing the care of diverse patient populations, collaborating with healthcare team members, and responding quickly to emergent situations, including trauma cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Current Colorado Registered Nurse license; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within one year of hire; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in emergency or acute care settings; Certification in Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS); Additional locale-specific or specialty certifications.
• Demonstrates competency in providing direct patient care, performing head-to-toe assessments, monitoring hemodynamic status, and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
• Communicates effectively with physicians, patients, and families, addressing psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Documents thoroughly and maintains accurate patient records.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and assists physicians with procedures in the emergency department.
• Participates in ongoing professional development through educational programs, workshops, and in-service meetings.
• Assists in departmental orientation and contributes to performance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
