Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Eureka, California. This position involves providing high-quality care in a facility that serves a culturally diverse, high-risk obstetric population. The role requires circulating on cesarean sections and supporting mothers through labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. The assignment starts on 08/10/2026 and offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic obstetric environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California state license; ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP certifications; 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or neonatal care; experience with Epic charting system; able to float within hospital scope to meet staffing needs.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience circulating on cesarean sections; high-risk obstetrical experience; previous travel experience preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to meet facility needs.
- Additional Information: Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Must provide two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years, with some references possibly including charge or lead nurses.
