Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse is responsible for providing direct care and influencing care delivery for acutely ill patients who are moderately stable but possess an increased risk for instability. The role requires advanced monitoring, assessments, and interventions within a specialized setting to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Located in Corvallis, Oregon, this position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment focused on patient stabilization and recovery.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license, Healthcare Provider Level BLS, American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Basic EKG knowledge and prior Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience are preferred. Verification of high school diploma or equivalent is required to meet College of American Pathologists (CAP) standards.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a PCU and familiarity with basic EKG monitoring.
