Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Bakersfield, California. This position involves providing advanced nursing care to acutely ill patients in a fast-paced emergency department environment. The role requires assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care activities, with a focus on ensuring safety, therapeutic intervention, and collaboration with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, including some shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Minimum hours per week: 36.0.
• Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse (RN) License; NIHSS certification; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience; graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelor's or associate degree preferred.
• Additional Information: This role demands a comprehensive understanding of emergency nursing practices, medical terminology, and the ability to manage rapid response scenarios. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking, patient assessment, and nursing care planning skills, with proficiency in medical instruments and medication management. The position may require maintaining specific certificates of competency as dictated by the assignment.
