Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Glen Burnie, Maryland. This position involves providing specialized care in the Labor and Delivery department within a healthcare facility. The role requires working day shifts with a focus on maternal and neonatal patient care, ensuring safety, comfort, and compliance with hospital protocols.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The start date is 08/03/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact State RN license, BLS, and NRP certifications. Degree in Nursing or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, experience with charting systems such as EPIC, and prior community hospital or Level I Trauma experience.
  • Additional Information: Daily responsibilities include administering blood and blood products, assisting with sterile speculum exams, epidural management, postpartum care, neonatal assessments, and use of electronic fetal monitoring. Floating to sister units within scope may be required, and candidates must be comfortable with complex patient care protocols and procedures. The unit supports neonatal, adolescent, and adult patients, with a focus on maternal-newborn health.
  • Certifications: CPR, NRP, and CPI certifications are mandatory. Onboarding requires labs within 72 hours of signing the contract, with compliance documents due five days prior to start.
  • Travel Experience: Not required.
  • Other: The position includes weekend and holiday requirements, with two weekend shifts per contract. Flexibility to float within departmental units as needed.
