Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Nampa, Idaho. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy Level IV trauma center with a well-rounded team. The ER handles a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients, with a focus on trauma, stroke, STEMI, respiratory issues, and other acute conditions. The role requires managing patient flow efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of care.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, starting from 08/10/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as an RN, current certifications including ACLS, BLS, ENPC, PALS, TNCC, and a minimum of 1 year of emergency room experience. Experience managing both pediatric and adult patient populations, with competence in trauma, respiratory issues, chest pain, strokes, and STEMI cases.
  • Common Diagnoses/Patient Types: All ages; about 20% pediatric patients; respiratory issues, abdominal pain, strokes, STEMIs, chest pain, outdoor injuries, and migrant worker-related health concerns.
  • Staffing & Operations: Coverage includes up to 7 physicians, with mid-level providers available during peak hours. Charge nurses are present 24/7 but do not take patient assignments. ER techs, patient sitters, and paramedics support staffing around the clock. RT staff and phlebotomists are available 24/7.
  • Responsibilities: Managing a high patient turnover with rapid room utilization; performing EKGs, ABGs, breathing treatments, and lab draws; responding to emergency drips and airway management.
  • Additional Notes: The facility emphasizes team culture, fast patient turnover, and a dynamic environment. Floating to other ERs in the region may occur rarely. The dress code is professional casual scrubs, and orientation involves a one-shift training.
