Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse - Twin Falls, ID. This role involves working in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a focus on high-acuity patient care. The position requires a highly organized team environment dedicated to high reliability, customer service, and safety. The ER team handles a diverse patient population with common diagnoses such as trauma, stroke, STEMI, NSTEMI, and other emergencies.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications; high school diploma or equivalent; current Idaho nursing license; 1 year of ER experience including trauma; experience with triage; must have successfully completed 2-3 travel assignments at different locations (not extensions)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma bays; Epic Electronic Medical Records experience; prior travel experience in busy ER settings; familiarity with adult and pediatric critical drips, blood product management, and procedural sedation
  • Additional Information: No float requirement; may be asked to float to another unit if needed; orientation includes 1-2 days with a preceptor; ability to perform 12-lead EKGs, assist providers, and support ER operations; involvement in patient transport, lab draws, and equipment troubleshooting; ability to interpret tele monitor strips; RNs may be required to manage Vents, Cpap, BiPap, and other respiratory equipment; scrub color is navy blue.
  • Shift notes: Cover mid shifts with potential weekend and holiday requirements, with some flexibility for scheduling. No first-time travelers; experience in triage and trauma strongly preferred.
