Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) with specialization in Step Down Unit, located in St. Louis, MO. This position involves providing high-acuity patient care within a surgical step-down department, utilizing clinical expertise to evaluate and coordinate patient recovery and post-operative monitoring. The role supports the organizations mission of delivering compassionate, quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 1900-0730, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license (eligible for licensure in Missouri or licensed in Missouri), BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, 2 years of experience in step down or ICU, and familiarity with post-operative care, bipap, and cardiac medication management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma patients and high-acuity surgical units.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other departments with comparable acuity levels.
• Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates patient care with ancillary departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and performs duties consistent with nursing standards and organizational values. The position involves physical demands including standing, walking, lifting, and turning patients, with high risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
