Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse (RN) in Vermont. This position involves working in a hospital operating room environment with a focus on orthopedic cases, including total joint procedures. The role includes rotating shifts between day and evening hours, with a schedule of 10-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week, and may involve on-call responsibilities. Candidates should possess strong orthopedic skills and experience with total joint surgeries.

Job Details:

  • Location: Rutland, Vermont
  • Schedule: Rotating Day/Eve shifts, 10 hours per shift, 40 hours per week, with on-call duties
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, orthopedic nursing experience with total joint case skills, and flexibility for rotating shifts. Additional qualifications include educational requirements, work history including facility details, employment gaps, and any relevant certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Scrub experience highly preferred. Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Cerner is advantageous.
  • Additional Information: Orientation sessions are held on a biweekly basis. Supervisor approval is needed for schedule requests. Prior to submission, ensure the profile packet includes correct employment historymentioning health system name, campus, bed count, electronic medical record technology, facility type or trauma level, and staffing ratios. Candidates must have reliable transportation, as public transit is not accessible.
