Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in IV Vascular Access for a position located in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. This role involves providing infusion therapy, managing clinical and operational workflows, and supporting patient education within a community-focused healthcare setting. The position is ideal for a compassionate nurse with port access experience and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved RN school of nursing; minimum of two years RN experience required; one-year acute care experience preferred; current Vermont or multi-state compact RN license; current BLS from the American Heart Association; infusion nursing certification (e.g., CRNI) preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Infusion RN and port experience; additional certifications such as Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) are a plus.
• Additional Information:
  • Experience with administering IV medications and therapies following hospital and industry standards.
  • Managing scheduling, prior authorizations, and clinical order reviews, including effective communication with providers, payers, and care teams.
  • Providing patient education regarding treatment plans, understanding, and documentation.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation in electronic health records and medication administration logs in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Credentialing requires a flu shot; travelers will start on Wednesdays, with orientation starting midweek.
  • Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing; reliable personal transportation is essential as public transit is unavailable in the area.
