Description

Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialist position available in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing direct patient care to neonatal and obstetric patients utilizing nursing assessments, planning, and interventions. The position requires the delivery of compassionate, quality care within a busy department, supporting patient safety and operational excellence.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week, beginning on 08/10/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), at least 0 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, and proficiency with the Epic charting system
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, 2+ years of professional experience, experience with patient ratios of 4, and familiarity with community hospital environments and Level I and II neonatal nurseries
  • Additional Information: May float to Labor & Delivery to serve as a baby nurse. No on-call is required, and coverage includes every other weekend. Orientation includes 12 hours of training. The facility provides interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and social work. Candidates must submit documentation of applicable certifications, including valid AHA or ARC licenses, and provide two references within the last year.
  • Submittal & Compliance: All required documentation, including licensure and certifications, must be uploaded within specified timelines. Candidates must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing, and work history verification covering the past 7 years is mandatory.
  • RTO and Holiday Policies: Max RTO is 7 days per contract. Holiday requests are limited to one per contract for recognized holidays, beginning at 7:00 PM the night before and ending at 7:00 AM the day after.
